This is a subtitle for your new post

Like an average woman, she comes to life when she puts her makeup on. Open fields with bright orange flowers as far as the eye can see. More desolate sections with luminous orange flowers with spattering of purple, yellows and whites. As you drive through the park you start seeing some of her inner beauty. The landscape changes every few kilometers. Going from orange carpet wildflower and green fynbos to sparse desert scenes with a few spattered flowers in between. The contrast of the luminous colours against the backdrop of red sand is phenomenal.
One needs to stop and take a walk around to actually discover the vast and different plant species that can be more than 60 years old and survive the harshest conditions. They are very slow growing, absolutely fascinating and exceptionally rare, many can only be seen in this area.
One can travel from inland to the coast within a day. Like the ever changing plant species the terrain also changes constantly. Beautiful rugged beaches and a bird hide to sit and watch the abundance of bird life the park has to offer.
Our Nadine was so lucky to see some duikers, jackals, caracal, gemsbok, springbok, a few springhaas and a mongoose that came to visit her near her patio. Not to forget the historical site from the bushman caves to tiny towns with a few houses built of mud bricks with graveyards telling you a story of the families that used to live there.
Just a place to relax, admire and discover even out of season. Beautiful sundowners and breathtaking skies at night to finish off a perfect day.
