The Kariba Lake

Lake Kariba, one of the largest artificial lakes in the world, stretches along the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. Created by the damming of the Zambezi River, the lake offers stunning vistas and a range of recreational activities. Visitors can enjoy boat cruises to explore the lake’s numerous islands, such as the wildlife-rich Chikanka Island and the scenic Matusadona National Park.

The lake is also a popular spot for fishing, particularly for tiger fish, and provides excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and birdwatching. With its serene waters and picturesque sunsets, Lake Kariba is a tranquil retreat for those seeking relaxation and adventure.
