Itinerary
Day 1: Maun International Airport – Makgadikgadi Pans
Welcome to Botswana! Right after your arrival at the Maun International Airport you will take a further flight towards the Makgadikgadi Pans. The Makgadikgadi Pan, a salt pan situated in the middle of the dry savanna of north-eastern Botswana, is one of the largest salt flats in the world. After landing, a camp representative will welcome you and attend you on your way to the camp. Once arrived, you can enjoy the amenities of the luxury safari camp.
Day 2: Makgadikgadi Pans
The activities at the luxury camp are tailored to guests’ specific needs and include game drive visits to the local meerkat colony, guided walks, quad biking and horse riding. Your guide is a qualified Zoologist / Biologist and he will be delighted to assist you with his knowledge about this special region.
Day 3: Makgadikgadi Pans – Maun – Moremi Game Reserve
You will leave the Makgadikgadi Pan and take a flight back to Maun, followed by a second flight from Maun to your accommodation on the edge of the Moremi Game Reserve. The Moremi Reserve is situated at the heart of the Okavango Delta and was the first wildlife area to be set aside by tribal people rather than colonial powers. A Lodge representative is looking forward to welcome you and will transfer you to the Lodge. Right after your arrival, your first afternoon game drive awaits you.
Day 4: Moremi Game Reserve
Enjoy your stay at the Okavango Delta and the exciting morning and afternoon game drives throughout the many different ecosystems that the Reserve has to offer. The rest of the day is free to spend some time at leisure or to use the spa treatments. On request, you have the chance to partake in an exclusive night safari.
Day 5: Moremi Game Reserve – Okavango Delta
Today, your flight to another camp in the Moremi Game Reserve takes place. Enjoy your stay with the mainly water based activities, like the Mokoro boat excursion.
Day 6: Okavango Delta
Besides two open vehicle game drives another highlight awaits you: You will partake in a memorable helicopter safari, which provides a birds-eye view of this magnificent landscape.
Day 7: Okavango Delta – Chobe National Park
Today’s inter-camp flight will take you from the heart of the Delta to the Savute area situated in the Chobe National Park, with its sweeping expanse of savannah dotted by rocky outcrops surrounding a marsh and the Savute Channel. Moreover, the Chobe National Park hosts the largest concentration of elephants in Africa. Certainly, you will meet the grey giants on one of your two game viewing activities per day.
Day 8: Chobe National Park
Apart from your morning and afternoon game drives, today’s day is at your own disposal.
Enjoy a variety of leisure activities or just take a break from everyday life. A good opportunity to enjoy some adventure and participate in an exclusive excursion to Bushmen paintings and baobab trees.
Day 9: Chobe National Park – Kasane International Airport – Option for Extension: Livingstone, Zambia
Today you have to bid farewell to Botswana. In the morning, your flight from the Savute area to the Kasane International Airport takes place from where you return home.
Victoria Falls Extension
From Kasane Airport, you will be transferred by road to your accommodation in Livingstone, Zambia.
In the afternoon, you enjoy an unforgettable cruise on the Zambezi River to see the world famous Victoria Falls as well as a stunning sunset.
Day 10: Livingstone
Today is free to spend some time at leisure, to relax and enjoy the amenities of the hotel. Other more adventurous activities can be booked as well, for example, Helicopter flips over the falls, white water rafting on the Zambezi River, gorge hikes or various safari activities.
Day 11: Livingstone - Departure
Your Africa adventure ends today. Your flight from Livingstone International Airport is taking place, followed by your international flight back home.
