SWAZILAND

THE KINGDOM OF COLOURS

With a surface of scarcely 17,000 square kilometers, the kingdom of Swaziland belongs to one of the smallest independent countries in the world and offers a versatile landscape with high mountains vast plains and graceful villages. Appropriate attractive is the mountains region in the west, which is intersected by many deep river valleys and allows breathtaking views into the valleys.

Swaziland impresses with some excellent nature and wildlife reserves. In the east lies the Hlane Royal National Park, which was 1967 officially appointed royal hunting ground and which presents with its area of about 30,000 hectares the largest game reserve in the country. Without any intervention from gamekeepers nature can unfold freely here and creates habitat for elephants, rhinos, giraffes, ostriches, zebras, crocodiles and many other savannah animals.
  • The small kingdom is a paradise for nature lovers and hikers and offers all kinds of cultural and colourful ceremonies. The life of the Swazi is still closely linked to ancient traditions, therefore the traditional commodities will be put on for the most solemn occasions and danced to old custom and tradition.
