If for a day or a mere hour, the falls are eagerly waiting to impress. An ambience of fresh nature, unfiltered beauty and art with every shower across the pathways is as beautiful as nothing you’ve ever seen.
Just within 100km of Zambia, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe, also known as the four corners, lies the Victoria Falls, formed by the famous Zambezi river. Travellers can choose to either visit the falls from Zambia or Zimbabwe side.
The water from Victoria Falls dives into a narrow gorge running parallel to the face of the falls, with the spray going high into the air, causing permanent rain, rainbows and the famous "smoke" which is visible from a distance, so, much of the time when you are viewing the falls, you are actually facing them. Close to the edge of the cliff, spray shoots upward like inverted rain from the large mass of falling water. The showers prompt you to let your guard loose and slip over to the younger side of you. To augment your experience, locals are quite friendly and welcoming, ready to assist where necessary. Visitors to the park can take a scenic flight over the falls for an aerial view.
