If you think about Rwanda, what comes to mind? For us it’s rolling green hills, foggy mornings and mountain gorillas. Well and coffee, of course! But on our Nadine's recent trip to Rwanda she learned how diverse this tiny Central African country really is. From savannahs with giraffes and zebras to misty rainforests with chimpanzees, there’s more to experience than just gorillas!

Initially for many of us to not have an itinerary before traveling is undoubtedly a challenge. In a culture where we are expected to organize our lives, multitask, and properly manage our days, it is not something we are used to. Many of us had to get used to just going with the flow, trusting the process, and opening up to new experiences (and many of them). The concept of "living in the moment" proved to be a great gift as the race progressed—it was experiential travel at its finest!

Off the east coast of Madagascar, in the Indian Ocean, lies the tropical island of Mauritius. The island is well-known for its beautiful beaches, turquoise waters, sugarcane fields, forests, volcanic rock and the now extinct dodo. Lesser known to those that have not visited the island is the rare blend of cultures originating from its rich multicultural heritage, that includes French, African, Indian, Chinese and British influence. Today, that has turned into a beautiful blend of colour, flavours, people and languages.

Tucked between the mighty Zambezi and the rolling Limpopo River, Zimbabwe is best known for the magnificent spectacle of the Victoria Falls. Zimbabwe derives its name from the spectacular stone structures of the Great Zimbabwe ruins, a World Heritage Site with a mysterious origin. The country is home to another four World Heritage sites, including the rugged granite outcrops of the Matobo Hills, the spectacular conservation area of Mana Pools and the magnificent Victoria Falls.
